Dotted Landscapes

There are many decision making moments and in one of those moments, there comes a time when a person decides to either protect what they have or to start afresh. One should always be aware that life is change. What you know can only take you so far. After that, you are either floating or sinking.

The philosophy of the infinite is easy to identify and yet the infinite attracts many many who seem not to agree with it. It takes a certain kind of courage to have faith and to believe. They say that the mice come out to play when the cat is away but it might be more instructive to say that only the blind mice play when the cat isn’t away.

Repulsion and attraction are connected. Playing on the edges, a person’s refusal to enter can also be seen as a sign of natural attraction. This is also natural repulsion and it becomes a sure sign of what needs to be done. Even if you step down the wrong path, that initial first step remains as a beacon. We could perhaps then say that the secret is to recognise the nature of the subsequent steps.

The scholar is too clever to understand that he is the death of what he is seeking. Guarantees are like the walls of a fort but with so many forts dotting the landscape, many have forgotten what connects the dots. Instead, they hide behind their barricades, never realising that their enemy need not even enter to ensure a victory.

Can you follow the dots or do you need them laid out for you? To need them laid out is no shame but many deny this and so protect the few dots they have. This requires the building of forts but they forget that manual labour has consequences and that splinters lodged deep are difficult to remove.

When many build, they build according to a set pattern. The result is something that can be easily acknowledged by everyone. Everyone recognises the source of the accomplishment as it is actually the accomplishment of everyone.
